Al Nassr, the Saudi Arabian football club, has released a statement regarding their star player Karim Benzema, who is currently recovering from an injury sustained during training.
According to the statement, Benzema was involved in a fall during training on Wednesday and suffered an ankle sprain. The midfielder has been undergoing treatment at the club's medical center and is expected to be out for several weeks.
Benzema, who joined Al Nassr in January this year, has made a strong impression since his arrival. He scored four goals in seven appearances for the club before sustaining the ankle injury. Despite the setback, Al Nassr coach, Adel Noura, expressed confidence that Benzema would recover quickly and return to action soon.
In addition to Benzema, Al Nassr also announced that defender Youssef Al-Hosni will miss the remainder of the season due to an injury he sustained during a match against Al-Shabab. Al-Hosni underwent surgery last week and is expected to make a full recovery.
The injury update comes as Al Nassr continues to compete in the Saudi Professional League and the AFC Champions League. The club is currently in third place in the league table and is hoping to secure a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament.
Despite the setbacks, Al Nassr remains optimistic about their chances of success and is confident that they can bounce back from this setback. The club will continue to monitor the progress of their injured players and work hard to ensure that they are ready to compete when they return to action.
